Downtown Plymouth, IN is a quaint throwback to days gone by.

But not one of the O.K. Corral variety.

In this case, people will be shooting basketballs instead of six-shooters as the AYBT rolls into town for the annual Plymouth Shoot Out.

Boys grades third-through-eleventh and girls fourth-through-eleventh are invited to attend.

Spectators pay $8 for a one-day pass and $10 for an all-weekend pass. Children five-and-under are free.

The event will follow the normal five-game District Series Event structure.

The organizers are recommending to out-of-town visitors lodging accommodations at Culver Cove (319 E. Jefferson St., Culver, IN) Holiday Inn Express (2619 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN) and Swan Lake Resort (5203 Plymouth Laporte, Plymouth, IN).

A local restaurant is also offering a deal to those participating in the shootout. Mila’s Mini Market (213 E. Jefferson St.) will allow AYBT participants the AYBT Special, which is eight tacos for $12. The business offers tacos, tortas, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, homemade salsa, and more.

Those visiting the area will find plenty to do in Plymouth.

The Marshall County Museum Historic Crossroads Center (123 N. Michigan St.) features the people who have lived in Plymouth for generations, exhibiting A family parlor, kitchen, and bedroom from the late 1800s and the museum’s train room , complete with an 8-by-40 foot model train display.

Visitors and townsfolk alike can take another trip into the past at the Tri-Way Drive-In Theater (4400 N. Michigan Road). The historic drive-in features four screens and modern releases.
